Disclaimer: We have partnered with KraftHeinz to bring you this decadent cheesecake recipe. All opinions expressed are my own.
There aren’t many things that I use as a treat for myself. Especially when it comes to food. But cheesecake… well, that is something I only allow myself to have once in a while. Since it is New Years Eve – I think it is only proper to treat myself with all the decadence that is Dulce de Leche Cheesecake.
This is an easy recipe that Kraft has developed, a basic cheesecake, with all the sweetness of Dulce de Leche on top. Remember, no need to top your cheesecake right away! Keep that Dulce de Leche off to the side, you only need to add a touch when it’s time to serve!
So basically, I needed a dessert. And since the ingredients were on hand, I went with it.
First off, you’ll need a can of sweetened condensed milk. Open the can and pour it into a pie plate or a small cake pan. Cover the pie plate and place it in a casserole dish of water. Bake it in the oven at 425 degrees for one hour. Remove it from the oven, whip the cooked milk with a wisk until smooth, then let i t cool for one hour.
You’ll need 3 packages of Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup Dulce de Leche, and 3 eggs… for full instructions on how to assemble the cheesecake, please visit the Kraft Canada website.
You will want to make sure you whip all the ingredients until their nice and fluffy. I like to use the highest speed on my mixer to get lots of air in there.
Smooth the mixture over a gram cracker crumb base. Bake at 350 for 40 to 45 minutes.
Slide a butter knive or a spatula along the outer edge of the cheesecake as soon as you take it out of the oven. Then allow it to cool and set before removing the springform pan. Around 4 hours or so.
Dip your knife in hot water and wipe clean with every single cut of the cake for a nice, clean edge.
