Fingerless Mitts

1 Flares 1 Flares ×

For weeks, these babies have been on my needs.  I started them close to two months ago, and life just got in the way of my knitting time.  Seriously…having to go to work is dragging me down.  “I don’t wanna work…I just want to knit on my wips all day!”  I’m not even kidding.  If I could spend my everyday in full on creative mode, I would.  What’s funny is…my creative mode can even pay the bills.

I guess I’m just a bit chicken of letting go of the stability of a full time job.

But I digress.

My mittens!

Not really cold enough to wear them, but loving my new fingerless mitts. #knitting #imadethem

They are the lucy mitts from Quince & co.  and I used the wool that is called for in the pattern, chickadee in the color, belize.  They took me longer than they should have, basically because of lack of time, but will be casting on a second pair within the next few days for a Christmas gift.

Then I have to find something to create with this, butter soft wool.  I can’t wait!

Do you knit or sew?  What about crochet or paint?  I’d love to hear about your creative side!

I love fingerless gloves and these ones look great! I used to knit, embroider and crochet alot when I was younger but unfortunately, arthritis has taken that from me.

  4. Love the colour and pattern! Where they hard to make? Where did you find the pattern! I want to get back into knitting this winter.

    • Hi Judy. I linked to the pattern in the post, I think the pattern cost five bucks. They weren’t hard at all, just knit and purl stitces with a simple cable. The pattern was very easy to read. Just be sure you use a DK or sport weight yarn and nice small needles. Glad you liked them!

  5. These are so pretty! And perfect for driving!

  6. Very cute! I really like the color you chose… and yup, I love the fingerless mittens as well for driving :)

  7. dusting off the knitting needles (every fall)

I love those mitts! I love crocheting but haven’t picked up the needle in so long.

  10. Love the pattern and the colour.
