Motherhood.  That’s a scary word.

With it comes pregnancy, childbirth, diapers and spit up…and in no time flat it turns into parenting teens with drivers licenses and lives of their own.  It’s a crazy, insane, lifelong path that has so many bumps that one wonders just how Mom does it.

But motherhood isn’t always scary.  It’s isn’t always frustrating.  It has little moments between the chaos that are so utterly beautiful that it makes all the stretch marks and grey hair worth it.  Little moments that you keep in your heart forever…like their first bath, first steps, first words, first friend.  The first time they tell say “I love you mommy“, in that adorable toddler chatter.

No, being a mom isn’t easy, but it is the best thing ever.  And along our path of motherhood, there are a few things that we come to depend on.  In my home, it’s milk in the fridge, coffee in the cup (a lot of coffee) and Johnson’s Bedtime Bath.  Johnson’s has been in steady supply in my home since before the birth of my first born.  A baby shower with 40+ people kept me well stocked for the first year.  I’ve come to depend on the soft lavender scent at bath time… it’s a night time ritual for my boys.  It calms them, helps all of us relax…knowing that sleep will soon follow.

For Mother’s Day, I’ve partnered with Johnson’s Baby to bring you a special contest.  One very deserving A Busy Mommy reader will win a Mother’s Day Gift.  Inside you’ll find Johnson’s Baby products for your little ones, Aveeno products for Mom and a digital camera to help capture all those special moments you little ones share with you.

If you know a new mom, maybe this is her first Mother’s Day.  Or maybe you’d love this for your own family, either way, I encourage you to enter.  Just fill out the form below, and I’ll announce the winner on Mother’s Day!

Contest Rules: Contest is open to residents of CANADA only.  Winner will be notified by email and will have 48 hours to respond.  Winner is selected at random.  Contest period: May 4th (12:01am) – May 12th 2012(11:59pm) Atlantic Time.  Winner will be contacted on May 13th, and we will announce on our facebook page as soon as we have confirmation.  Chances of winning depend completely on the number of entries received.  Prize Value approximately $250.00 CAD.

  7. My most treasured moment as a mother was the day I got to hold my twin boys together. 12. The love I held my first born for the first time. It was amazing with my second, I was afraid that I wouldn’t feel the same for him as my daughter – but I didn’t have to worry. It’s amazing how much capacity for love we have, and they take hold of us so quickly, you can’t even imagine what life was like before them.

When my son took his first step, it was so random it was just something I will never forget. I was cooking dinner and he just stood up and took three little steps into my open arms! I don’t know who was prouder…him or me.

  14. Definitely the most treasured moment is when both my sons were born and I held them in my arms, best feeling in the whole world, being a mommmy!

  20. Andrea Amy says:

I have 5 kids, too many treasured moments, but i will say that when I had my 2nd and 4th children, they both required week long stays in the NICU due to being born early (my 2nd was almost 8 weeks early, whereas my 4th was only 3 weeks early but he had lung problems and had to be resuscitated 3 times his first day of life)…so the greatest feeling was the day that they said I could leave the hospital WITH my baby and bring him home.

  21. Oh wow, so many moments. First day of walking was pretty big!
