Valentine’s day is almost here!  Can’t you feel the love in the air??  Ok, maybe that’s snow and high hopes.  But a girl can dream, right? This year for Valentine’s day, I have hopes of flowers.  I’ve never gotten them, ever!  And hubby knows, that they’re my favorite thing.  For him, I usually get him something small.  A card and a gift card to his favorite cooking store (He loves to mess my kitchen up cook).  But what to get the kids?

Valentine’s day for kids has always been more of a school thing.  Or at least that’s how it was when I was growing up.  We’d get our box of licensed Valentines, and try to remember the names of all the kids in our class.  Diligently writing them as neatly as we could.  Then at school we’d get a paper bag and decorate it.  Full of hearts and lace.  I always loved that.  Valentine’s day was fun!

I’ve never given the kids Valentine’s Day presents,  usually they have so much.  But this year I’m making an exception.  Ben is getting Build A Bear this year!  They’ve never had them before, never even been in the store!  But their Valentine’s Day Bears and Bugs are just too cute to pass up!

For Ben, he’s getting the bug that was sent to me for to review, Love Bug Grahm.  He’s so adorable I almost want to keep him for myself.  But I think I’d have a hard time explaining it to the kids.   Ben is just going to love him, I’m sure.  He’s a huge fan of anything snuggly, and Love Bug Grahm will be his new night time pal for a while! Of course, all the parts of him are removable.  The top, pants shoes and wings can all be taken off, and if you have other Build A Bear products they can be switched.

We chose the Boy Love Bug to review basically because we have a household full of boys.  I’m outnumbered 3 to 1, but if your house is little girls running around, you’ll want to check out these darling Valentine’s Day characters.  I’m sure they’d make your girls light up with excitement!

Now, we’ve never actually gone to Build A Bear.  The closest store to us is over an hour away.  But it is high up on my list of things to do.  Have you ever gone?  I’d love to know what your favorite thing about the in store Build A Bear experience is!
